taes bowl
The Taes collection draws inspiration from the majestic sloping-sided architectural platforms, historically used for religious, ceremonial and defensive purposes. In stacked form, the platforms raise monuments such as pyramids and temples. Single platforms were used as foundations of buildings and defensive structures. The sculptural bowl is a contemporary interpretation of the graphic and functional elements of these sloping-sided platforms.
The object is designed by Aad Bos and sculpted by artisans in the vicinity of Amsterdam out of dense limestone with fossilized inclusions, sourced from the Jura region in Germany. The bowl is usable in 2 ways, either with the larger or the smaller surface facing the bottom. Protection pads are provided.
The Taes bowl is made to order with a production time of 7-8 weeks and customizable in design, size, material and color.
The Taes collection is on display at gallery Boon Room in Paris and exclusively available via the gallery. The products are numbered and come with a signed certificate of authenticity.
